How can I have my signature seal registered?
A seal is an important item that is used in place of a handwritten signature when registering your car or real estate property or when borrowing money. To make your seal effective, you need to register it at your municipal office. For seal registration, you need to be registered as a resident and be 15 years of age or older. A seal that does not meet the size requirements or does not match your name on the Certificate of Residence or commonly used name cannot be registered. After the seal registration, a Seal Registration Card (handbook or card) is issued. Be careful not to lose your seal or Seal Registration Card. If you lose your Seal Registration Card, you need to submit a report of loss and register your seal again. The Certificate of Registered Seal proves that your seal is authentic when you want to use it. To have it issued, you or your proxy need to present your Seal Registration Card at the municipal office.
For seal registration, the following items are necessary.
- Residence card
- A signature seal to be registered
