I would like to teach Japanese as a volunteer.

Many volunteers are participating in the Japanese classes in many municipalities (cities, towns and villages). You may want to contact such a class nearest you, to ask if it needs another volunteer teacher.

Each year the Aichi International Association hosts a session titled “Introductory Seminar for Japanese Language Volunteers” to cultivate Japanese language volunteers.

We would like to be a homestay family for foreigners. What organization should we register with?

If you wish to provide homestay, you should directly contact the Student Affairs Section of a University, or you can register with an organization implementing a homestay program, or with a municipality (city, town or village) instituting a registration system.

Our Association also implements the “Homestay Volunteer Registration System.” Please register with this system as well.

Making use of my language ability, I would like to be a volunteer translator or interpreter. What organization should I contact?

Some municipalities, public-sector international exchange associations and private-sector international exchange organizations are looking for volunteer translators or interpreters. You should contact them.
