| About Multicultural Center |
 The Multicultural Center was opened through the expansion of the previous
“Consultation and Information Corner” in April 2007 with an aim to achieve
a multicultural society in which Japanese and foreign residents can live
together comfortably. The center serves a central role to implement multicultural policies in
cooperation with local governments, municipal international associations,
related administrative agencies, NPOs and other organizations. |

Consultation and Information We provide foreign residents counseling and information services for their
daily lives. Materials, including necessary information on daily life for
foreign residents, international exchange programs, and other events, are
provided. |

Event Organization We provide practical programs to get a better understanding on the importance
of building a multicultural society and the concrete measures for achieving
multicultural harmony.
